This bibliography lists all original publications of Carl Rogers together with all published German translations, from 1922 onwards. Following English, German and Spanish introductory remarks, the chronological part lists unpublished papers and interviews, and, separately, films. The alphabetical part consists of both name and title indexes. The bibliography is also available online at <http://pca-online.net/ rogers.htm>, where it will continuously be updated. Corrections and amendments are appreciated.Zusammenfassung. Die Bibliografie führt alle publizierten Werke von Rogers im Original (ab 1922) zusammen mit den publizierten Übersetzungen ins Deutsche auf. Wie in den einführenden Anmerkungen angegeben, listet der chronologische Teil außerdem nicht publizierte Aufsätze und Interviews sowie, in einem eigenen Abschnitt, die Filme. Der alphabetische Teil enthält eine Namensliste und eine Titelliste.

INTRODUCTION
This bibliography for the first time completely lists all printed original — i.e. in most cases English language (American) — publications of Carl Ransom Rogers, including reprints as well as all published German translations in all versions. It also contains his unpublished papers (such as manuscripts of lectures, circular letters etc.) and interviews. In addition, there is a summary of his films and the data of a compact disk compiled by Rogers’ daughter. A unique number is assigned to each work, consisting of the year of its first publication and a lower-case letter, in cases of films, preceded by ‘F-’. If there are co-authors the numbering starts anew within these authors. For instance, Rogers 1961a (‘On becoming a person’) or Rogers F-1965 (‘Interview with Gloria’) or Rogers & Dymond 1954a (‘Psychotherapy and personality change’). This unique work number helps to distinctively and immediately identify a paper, manuscript, chapter, film etc. and can be useful for a short form in scientific work and communication.
Within each year of the chronological part the works are listed in the following order: Rogers’ solo-authored works are put first, with books, if any, listed first. After this, co-authored and co-edited works are cataloged. Within a work the original publication is put first followed by a preceding unpublished manuscript, if any, and later reprints. Publications of German language translations and their reprints follow in grey-scaled layout for easier finding. Annotations provide information about the history of the origin, enlarged and condensed versions etc. [in square brackets] as well as cross references to other titles. The alphabetical part consists of a list of names (co-authors, editors, interviewers, clients in cases and demonstration interviews, names in titles) and a list of titles (including the works themselves and the books in which chapters are published as well as the film titles) in both languages.
This bibliography has been carefully compiled since 1988; the first version was published as Schmid (1989). Ten editions followed, published in print and since 1999 online <http://pca-online.net/rogers.htm> as a service for the international person-centered community, for training and research purposes. (Online you also can find a francophone bibliography of Rogers’ works, based on the respective bibliography by Priels & Demaret, 1999.) This is the first edition following APA style conventions. Naturally such an enterprise is never complete and also will contain some errors. Although this bibliography was compiled as accurately as humanly possible, I encourage users to contact me regarding errors, incomplete data and additional material not yet listed in the bibliography. Corrections and additions will be recorded in the continuously updated online version.

Diese Bibliografie enthält erstmals alle gedruckten Originaltitel—das sind in den meisten Fällen englischsprachige (amerikanische) Publikationen—von Carl Ransom Rogers, inklusive aller Nach- und Neudrucke, sowie alle publizierten deutschen Übersetzungen in allen vorliegenden Fassungen. Darüber hinaus sind die veröffentlichten, jedoch nicht gedruckten Manuskripte (wie Vortragsunterlagen, Rundbriefe etc.) und Interviews enthalten. Im Anschluss sind seine Filme sowie die von Rogers’ Tochter zusammengestellte CD angeführt. Jedem Werk ist eine einmalige Nummer zugeordnet, die aus dem Jahr der Erstveröffentlichung und einem Kleinbuchstaben besteht, bei Filmen steht davor „F-“. Falls es Mitautoren gibt, beginnt innerhalb dieser Autoren die Zählung von vorne. Zum Beispiel ogers 1961a (“Entwicklung der Persönlichkeit”) oder Rogers F-1965 (“Interview with Gloria”) oder Rogers & Dymond 1954a (“Psychotherapy and personality change”). Die einmalige. Werknummer ermöglicht es, ein Buch, einen Artikel, ein Manuskript, einen Film usw. unverwechselbar und sofort zu identifizieren und bietet eine Kurzidentifikation für die wissenschaftliche Arbeit und Kommunikation.
Innerhalb des chronologischen Teils sind die Werke folgendermaßen geordnet: Zuerst stehen die Titel, die Rogers allein verfasst hat, wobei Bücher, wenn es welche gibt, zuoberst angeführt werden. Danach sind die Werke gelistet, die Rogers zusammen mit anderen Autoren und Autorinnen bzw. Herausgebern publiziert hat. Innerhalb eines Werkes wird die Originalpublikation zuerst aufgeführt; danach folgen ein allenfalls vorangehendes nicht publiziertes Manuskript und, so es solche gibt, weitere Publikationen desselben Werkes. Veröffentlichungen in deutscher Sprache werden zur leichteren Auffindung grau unterlegt.Anmerkungen informieren über die Entstehungsgeschichte, gekürzte oder erweiterte Fassungen usw. [in eckigen Klammern] sowie über Querverweise zu anderen Titeln. Der alphabetische Teil besteht aus einer Namensliste (der Mitautoren, Herausgeber, Interviewer, Klienten in Falldarstellungen und Demonstration Interviews, Namen in Werktiteln usw.) sowie einer Titelliste (inklusive der Werke selbst, der Bücher, in denen Artikel abgedruckt sind, sowie der Filmtitel) in beiden Sprachen.
Die Bibliografie wurde seit 1988 sorgfältig zusammengestellt und in der damals aktuellen Fassung erstmals publiziert in Schmid, 1989. Es folgten zehn Auflagen, gedruckt als Broschüre und seit 1999 online als Service für die personzentrierte Community, die Aus- und Fortbildung sowie die Forschung <http://pfs-online.at/rogers.htm>. (Online ist auch eine frankophone Bibliografie der Werke von Rogers zu finden, die auf der Grundlage der entsprechenden Bibliografie von Priels & Demaret, 1999, erstellt wurde.) Die vorliegende Fassung ist die erste, die den Regeln der American Psychological Association (APA) folgt. Naturgemäß ist ein solches Unterfangen niemals komplett und trotz aller Bemühungen nicht fehlerfrei. Obwohl diese erste Publikation einer Zusammenstellung aller Veröffentlichungen von Rogers sowie aller deutschen Übersetzungen mit großer Sorgfalt durchgeführt wurde, ersuche ich, mir Hinweise auf Fehler, unvollständige Angaben sowie allfällige weitere Titel oder deutsche Übersetzungen zu übermitteln und danke dafür. Esta bibliografía por primera vez compila una lista de todas las publicaciones originales impresas de Carl Ransom Rogers—en la mayoría de los casos en idioma inglés (Americano)— incluyendo reimpresiones y también todas las traducciones realizadas al alemán en todas las versiones. También contiene sus artículos no publicados (como manuscritos de clases o conferencias, cartas, etc.) y entrevistas. Asimismo, hay un resumen de sus películas y de la información de un CD compilado por la hija de Rogers. Un número único se asigna a cada trabajo, el cual consiste en el año de su primera publicación y de una letra minúscula, en el caso de películas, precedida por la letra “F-”. Si hay co-autores la numeración comienza de nuevo con estos autores. Por ejemplo, Rogers 1961a (“On becoming a person”) o Rogers F-1965 (“Interview with Gloria”) o Rogers & Dymond 1954a (“Psychotherapy and personality change”). Este número único de cada trabajo ayuda a identificar distintiva e inmediatamente a un artículo, manuscrito, capítulo, película, etc. y puede resultar útil para una abreviación en trabajos y comunicaciones científicas.
Dentro de cada año de la parte cronológica, los trabajos se hallan listados en el siguiente orden: los trabajos cuya autoría es solamente de Rogers son puestos primeros, con los libros, si es que hay alguno, listados primero. Luego, se incluyen los trabajos cuya autoría o edición son compartidos. Dentro de una misma obra, la publicación original se incluye primero, seguida de un manuscrito previo no publicado, en caso de que exista, y consecutivas reimpresiones. Las publicaciones de traducciones al alemán y sus reimpresiones siguen, en un texto con un fondo gris para su más fácil ubicación. Las anotaciones ofrecen información sobre la historia del origen, sobre versiones extendidas o abreviadas, etc. [entre corchetes] y también sobre referencias a otros títulos. La parte alfabética consiste en una lista de nombres (coautores, editores, entrevistadores, consultantes en entrevistas de demostración o en ejemplos de casos, nombres en títulos) y una lista de títulos en ambos idiomas (incluyendo las obras mismas y los libros en los cuales se publican capítulos así como también los títulos de las películas).
Esta bibliografía ha sido compilada cuidadosamente desde 1988; la primera versión fue publicada por Schmid (1989). Diez ediciones la siguieron, publicadas en papel y desde 1999 en la página web <http://pca-online.net/rogers.htm> como un servicio para la comunidad centrada en la persona, para propósitos de formación, formación avanzada, e investigación. (En Internet usted también puede encontrar una bibliografía en francés de las obras de Rogers, basada en la bibliografía respectiva desarrollada por Priels & Demaret, 1999.) La presente es la primera edición realizada con el estilo de las convenciones de APA. Naturalmente, este emprendimiento no está nunca completo y contendrá algunos errores.
